Every book starts with a careful reading of the land. We look at hole layouts, hazards, natural lines of play and the distances that actually matter to the player.

The goal is not to pile up measurements for their own sake, but to identify what helps build a strategy: where to play, where to avoid, where to aim. This step lays the foundation for a book that is useful on the course — not just aesthetic.

We also talk with the club. You know your course better than anyone — sensitive bunkers, risk areas, demanding greens. Your feedback sharpens our reading and ensures the book matches the reality of the land.
